Who is this awesome author, you ask? Here’s your answer!
I am a thirtysomething middle class mama with a husband and one kid. The kid part is the driving force for this blog. He was placed with us as a foster child a little over 2 years ago when he was 4 months of age. The parental rights of his biological parents were terminated about 8 months later, and his adoption was finalized 3 months after that. We are now the proud parents of a toddler deep in the throes of the so called “Terrible Twos.” We may have had a slightly unusual start, but now we’re just your typical family.
Adoption can be scary, and adding that uncertain element of a foster placement to it may not be for the faint of heart or those prone to high blood pressure. It’s not easy. But never fear…this Mom is here, and will help you through it! That, or just muddy the water. Time will tell.
2 words to describe me…wordy and wacky. I hope to make you smile, but drive home a few important points. And please, please, PLEASE. Open your heart. Open your mind. No matter what your current family or relationship status, there is a child out there in need of love and a home and may be just right for you.
Comments and feedback are welcome! I want this blog to be relevant, so any suggestions or pointers you can provide only helps me grow!

Hey, how can I get a cool “grab my button” widget thingee?
